Transurban engaged SIXTWO to design and develop a report outlining the results of their comprehensive Melbourne Road Usage Study. The study was the first real-world test of user-pays road charging in Australia. The study captured the responses of 1,635 participants to different user-pays charging options to gauge preferences towards and behaviours under a user-pays system.

SIXTWO worked with Transurban teams in Sydney and Melbourne to firstly develop a summary ‘Initial Findings Report’ (36 pages), which was presented by CEO Scott Charlton at the ‘Partnerships 2016: Infrastructure & Investment Conference’ in September 2016. Soon after, a more comprehensive 56 page report detailing the full study findings was prepared for presentation at Transurban’s 2016 Annual General Meeting.

Transurban Melbourne Road Usage Study - Changed Conditions Ahead

It’s been an absolute delight working with SIXTWO. We recently held our post implementation review for the Road Usage Study and everyone who had anything to do with your team or the report finalisation process gave glowing feedback – in particular we all noted our appreciation for your ‘get in and get it done attitude’ that meant we achieved our challenging deadlines…twice… and with finished products that looks fantastic!

We also appreciated your fit-for-purpose engagement including management of photographers and printers as well – this streamlined approach contributed to the successful achievement of what were some pretty steep deadlines!
